Well its a new patch and it has taken us a little while to get started at the beginning of this patch due to the terrible time the patch hit. Christmas has set us back a good few weeks and while we cleared normal early in the month we then lost the majority of the rest of the month. This Wednesday we finally got a full team together to give us a chance to beat on morchok HC. It took us a little while to get it settled right but all in all this HC is a little bit of a joke. the dps requirement is so low compared to the mad healing requirement which meant for the first time ever we ran with 4 healers for a boss kill. And what a kill it ended up being. We appeared to be making good progress until suddenly a dps dropped. The stomp had hit when he wasn't on full health and he was soaking double damage. The fight went from bad to worse at that point with one of our dps even managing to pull a trash pack during the black blood phase. With these both happening to the same group it was only a matter of time before that group all perished and suddenly with about 5% to go the other five had to deal with both bosses. The second boss ran across and begun to kill people and through some miracle I still don't understand Morchok himself dropped with only two dps left. The Kohcrom killed one of them and Taiina blew evasion and bought the boss down to 56 health when his evasion ran out and he got obliterated. I was horrified thinking that he would respawn and we had just had a 0.1% wipe but much to my joy we ran back in to find the boss with his loot all ready for us to take away. Excellent work and I'm sure bosses will be dropping like flies soon.

After fun and games trying to get the Flaming Orbs cheeve at raid start (4 resets later and a lockout for me after doing an instance before resulting in 15 minutes of sitting outside) we started setting up for Majordomo after having a play with some Wild Mushrooms and Smoke Flares.............
What an easy fight! Increased damage not only from the boss, but from us as well meant that his 105 million health pool was a lot less daunting when we're all doing 40-60k DPS! Needless to say after a handful of attempts and readjustments for orbs, he fell! Not only did he fall, but he dropped something called Shaman Tier loot. This is a pretty mystical and rare item that was quickly snapped up by Zabac! Bout friggin' time!
Well done guys. 6/7 HC for us now! This does create 1 slight problem though.... HC Raid destroyer is next and boy is he gonna be fun!

I would just personally like to add to this that im very proud of you all. Monday night wasnt the easiest night to raid with various lag issues and some scrub being locked out of the instance but you all showed me that you have the ability to be the best out there. Excellent work guys and we will see about getting Rag now :)

What a night we had on Thursday! after i had finally got a working net connection at university i finally got a chance to take out Baleroc on HC. This was great because it meant i got to show how utterly overpowered paladins are on that fight :D We then went to Beth'tilac. I had personally had a little experience this Monday on the fight and it was a real pain in the ass then. With a few changes to the team on Monday we went up against it expecting a large amount of wiping to get it to the stage where we had hammered our tactics into the correct shape for our group on this fight. What a change a few changes to raid comp can make tho as we walked up to this boss and on our first attempt of the night took her down. It was excellent and i would like to say thank you to everyone for an outstanding performance. After having a few attempts on domo that same night i confidently predict within a week we will be on HC rag!

What to say! With our fearless leader having net problems after moving to Uni, Knr stepped up (now Magenar :D) to temporary raid leading. HC Baleroc was a particularly inconvenient fight due to the Countdown and the Tormented debuff spreading like a plague which made a really good test for peoples Spacial Awareness and not only that but for our gear levels and combined DPS! All this aside, after a good few tries during Wednesday's raid and a change of tactics, specs and a 3% wipe we came back on Thursday and 2 shotted him very cleanly, with room to breath on the Berserk timer still! Fantastic job guys, everyone performed brilliantly!
Next up is the moody spider and the homo. Let's get em down!

So as i am sure you all know the nerfs hit this week. It was a shame we weren't able to get these HC bosses down before but thats the way life goes. We have been having lots of fun with the RNG that is Ryolith for far too long now and i am pretty sure i speak for the whole group when i say good riddance. so we went in with the new nerfs in place and took down Ryolith in fairly short order. Just ahd to deal with the fact that the nerf had ruined the turning mechanics for us (Spinning 90 degrees for no apparent reason). So with that down we still had quite a long time left on our raid night so we all went and had a look at alysrazor.
Now this fight has quite a lot of difference from normal in the first phase but the rest is very similar. After a little time we got the first phase down and then it was only a matter of time before we finished up. With only some of the hardest HC bosses elft we completed a full clear for this week to get people some more gear and next week we will bring down some more.
We dont have a picture of Alysrazor due to an inconvient DC as soon as the boss went down but a video of both fights are incoming as soon as i get some music for them(any idea? PST ;) )

Two weeks ago we killed Ragnaros on normal mode and we all started the next next lock-out raring to go onto heroic bosses. As we all knew it wasn't going to be easy this time, we were gonna have to work out how to get this right in our own way and at the end of the third night of attempts we got it right. With the exception of a few deaths it was a very clean kill and i am very happy with how it went. We have begun our attempts on Rhyolith and we will see him down before he knows what hit him. Excellent work as usual guys and keep up the good work.

Ragnaros has sent many of us insane over the last few weeks. Whilst we could always seem to push through the first few phases(well most of the time) we always got stumped by the second transition. The fight was beginning to become as much a block as Al'akir was in the previous tier, however the fight was a lot longer so we were getting few attempts per raid night. No matter how many stuns we had and how perfect our dps split was it was nigh on impossible to get into the third phase. I was looking through a few forums on a run back to have another attempt tonight when i realised that the one thing people kept coming back to was how this was easily healed with two healers as a pally/(priest or druid). now we were running tonight with two Shammies and a pally but we were out of ideas so we switched it round to see if it could work and the results were outstanding. From this change we had perhaps three or four wipes before the boss finally bit the dust! Now with him out of the way we are back onto Hc's. Shannox, you are next!

Well i have been slacking as i have had a thousand other things to do at the moment including getting my PC fixed again! but anyway on Monday we went into FL with Ryolith the only boss between us and Majordomo. After a fairly quick kill on Ryolith(RNG sucks) we moved onto Majordomo. I have to say if you ask me the hardest boss we have killed so far i would not say Majordomo. Whilst this fight had a few mechanics to get used to and i just like to say Blizzard have done a really good job at making the fights unique this tier. Once we had sorted out the moving we got it down with only a few problems. Next up is Rag and on our one throw ourselves at him without tacs to end the night we got him to the first phase transition. i can't wait!
The kill photo was unfortunately lost. Sorry guys.

Right so despite this kill happening on Thursday this news post is going up on a saturday because i wrote a really good news post yesterday and it dissappeared of the face of the earth. Anyways back to the boss kill. We have been throwing ourselves against this bird for a few weeks and have been having real problems down to lag and various other problems with low dps on the adds and things like that. On thursday we threw ourselves up against it for yet another night and it seemed to be going a similar way. Either we were losing people in the tornados or the adds werent goign down in time. However on the seventh attempt it clicked, the adds went smoothly and the tornados were avoided perfectly by everyone.

Well a great end to another week in the world that is 4.2. There have been ups and there have been downs this week with one of our officers making a rather dramatic exit from the guild and with bosses dropping like flies. The day didn't bode well when i had three people who had attended the raid last week let me now that they wouldn't be attending in the evening for a variety of reasons. Thanks to our progression towards 25 man and the high calibre of people we have taken on into the guild in the last few weeks however i was still spoilt for choice when it came to picking the group. To start the raid off we went and said Hi to Alysrazor. Now i don't know why but we had real issues on that fight and we got to our break with only seeing phase 2 a few times. With that we decided that maybe it was time to cool off and give ourselves some thinking time on that boss so we moved round to Baleroc. Baleroc is an interesting fight for the simple fact that about a million things have to be controlled at once. However after a few attempts that were a bit shaky in terms of progression and about 20 minutes after the end of our raid time we pulled an absolutely perfect and stunning kill of the boss off. It was pure poetry how smoothly it went down and now we just have a certain bird to worry about again...
